Eleni was stately advancing

amid the light that was emanating from her body

Her lips were glowing,

her fingertips were sparkling.

Her hair was shining,

her eyes were gleaming.

She was in adolescence

and it was the time of her hymeneal.

She proceeded

amidst the light that was waving around her

and knelt in front of the altar of the Goddess.

Suddenly, the statue of the Goddess moved,

the pillars trembled,

the priestesses bent down and hid their faces.

The voice of the goddess sounded

full of rage:

“How dare you, Eleni,

walk around, revealing the Immortal, Divine Beauty

among the mobs of mortals?

You were given something above the human

and you will pay with blood, both,

you and humans

for this abuse!”

The Goddess fell silent.

But young Eleni did not understand…

She just got married to Menelaus.

………………………………………………………………..

Eleni was proceeding slowly.

A nebula was following her

dense, viscous, perfumed with the myrrh of the Woman

that was flowing from her body.

Her hand reached out

and firmly touched the feet of the statue.

Goddess emerged out of the marble

and smiled cruelly.

“Follow” commanded “Paris.

Follow him to Troy.

Follow his brutal beauty

and the vigor of his youth.

He will satisfy every desire of your body

but will leave your soul hungry

and your heart dry.

Follow him because Gods

want to play

with mankind

and you are the pawn in their game”

Eleni replied:

“I will not follow Paris out of love

nor let Menelaus because of loathing.

I recognize the yarns, that wrap me

and follow your command,

oh, Goddess of beauty.

Through the centuries my soul

will vibrate for vindication

and my heart will cry

out of pain……

I shall follow the price of my Beauty “.

………………………………………………………..

Amid the clatter of battle

outside the walls of Troy,

men were dying with the vision

of Eleni in their eyes

and the desire of her kisses on their lips.

Women, in their lamentations,

were cursing the one

that was the Beauty and brought Havoc.

………………………………………………………………..

The light that was covering the presence

of Eleni was deep red.

Full of blood and lust and death.

But Eleni was beautiful!

Full of flame and warmth and sun.

She approached for once more the Goddess.

She knelt and spoke thus:

“I came, Goddess of Beauty,

back on your feet

full of blood and curses

reprehensible but immortal.

My face has not unravelled from the Beauty

despite the angry lust of Menelaus

who humiliated my existence

when he took me back.

What else do you want Goddess?

When shall I repay the price? ”

The voice of the Goddess sounded impersonal:

“The price of Beauty

will endure amid centuries, Eleni.

It will bear desire in men

hatred to the women

and you shall be the symbol of betrayal.

But being the daughter of Beauty

you shall glow

and nobody, ever,

will be able to ignore you ……

You are a torch, Eleni,

You shall be burned and shall burn,

but you shall always illuminate. ”

The sounds began to vibrate

between the columns:

“Eleni, Eleni, Eleni,

the heavens glow

the waters glow

the stars

and the universe glow.

Eleni you are glowing, gleaming from the Callus* of Divinity

and from the fiery aura of desire.

Ileus, ileus, ileus ….

Fulminant light,

eternal

that bears

beyond death,

the immortal Beauty”.

Helen collapsed on the temple plates.

Shining crimson, unique

and slowly, slowly her existence

was filled with sweetness.

It was the fulfilment of femininity.

She was not the Eleni of Sparta.

She was not the Eleni of Troy.

She was not the Eleni of Menelaus.

She was not the Eleni of Paris.

She was not the Eleni of the Greeks.

She was not the Eleni of the Trojans.

She was the Eleni of the Callus*.

She was the Eleni who revealed in the gender of human race

the beauty of Olympus.

She was the one that brought the vision

of the expectation of the divine.

This was the justification.
